Lawmaker: No outside jobs for elected officials

Some of the state’s top elected officials would have to stick to the jobs voters elected them for under a measure prompted by State Treasurer Shane Osborn’s professional moonlighting.
The bill (LB817), introduced Thursday by Sen. Bill Avery of Lincoln, would bar the state’s six constitutional officers from taking outside jobs.
